Colon hydrotherapy, also known as a "colonic", is the repeated, gentle infusion of water into the colon to facilitate the removal of impacted waste. We use only FDA registered equipment with disposable rectal tubes, speculums and tubing.

What to expect during Colon Hydrotherapy
Colon Hydrotherapy best benefits the body when used in combination with adequate nutrient and fluid intake as well as exercise. Today's sophisticated technology makes this health practice both safe and sanitary. Our center uses only FDA-registered equipment. The equipment features temperature sensors, and a built-in chemical sanitizing unit or water purification unit.
Q: What is Colon Hydrotherapy?
A: Colon Hydrotherapy is a safe, effective method of removing waste from the large intestine. By introducing a small amount of filtered water into the colon by the use of sterile and disposable rectal tubes, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis.
Q: How big is the rectal tube?
A: The LIBBE unit is the state-of-the-art in colonic equipment. The rectal tube is the size of a pencil in width and is self-inserted 1.5" inches into the anus.
 
Q: How long is the session ?
A: Your actual time using the equipment is 35 - 45 minutes. However, please expect to be at our center for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. It takes some time to fill out your health history forms and instruct you on the proper use of the equipment and follow-up care.
Q: Does it hurt?
A: It does not physically hurt. If you come in with pain, there may be some discomfort until the cause of pain is released from the body. Some cramping may occur, and is usually caused by accumulated gas in the colon. Our therapists are sensitive to this and provide the privacy and reassurance needed to make the experience as pleasant as possible.
Q: Where does the waste go?
A: The "LIBBE" unit has a specially designed molded fiberglass basin for waste to be flushed directly into the sewer system.
Q: How often do I need to have this done?
A: This is determined on an individual basis and decided between you and the therapist.
Q: I heard that it takes away the good stuff as well as the bad.
A: For the most part, our body systems are so toxic it is questionable how much good bacteria can survive. You should keep in mind that we help create the space for good bacteria to grow.
